Someday My Prince Will Come - Women's Scoop Neck

Cade Ryan's life was in shreds, every since he had walked out on his seven year farce of a marriage to the beautiful on the outside and cold on the inside, Rhoda when she told him to get out of their mansion. He had done just that with leaving his thousand dollar suits and the Rolex that she had given him taking only his sweatsuits with him.

Rhoda had gotten the mansion and all that it held and it should have been him as she was the one unfaithful preferring a short and balding orthodontist over Cade Ryan's life was in shreds, every since he had walked out on his seven year farce of a marriage to the beautiful on the outside and cold on the inside, Rhoda when she told him to get out of their mansion.

Rhoda had gotten the mansion and all that it held and it should have been him as she was the one unfaithful preferring a short and balding orthodontist over him! That had hurt the most as Leroy was fifteen years older than him! Cade had moved into a tiny apartment two weeks ago after staying in hotels for months and now he just played video games all day long while he tried to get his life back on track. Cade was zapping green aliens when the most god awful noise came from the apartment above his and he flopped in a chair to wait the noise out.

Minutes later, the noise continued so Cade cranked up the volume as high as it would go. That would teach her! A few moments later Cade opened his door to find his lovely neighbor Shell Anderson needed to practice for her cello performance that was rapidly approaching and the only time that she had to practice was when her neighbor's were at work and the new tenant was not making it easy with that god awful noise that he was making, how the hell was she supposed to practice?

Shell had the uncanny knack up picking good looking boyfriends that wanted to be couch potatoes and after Cal she had sworn off men. Three duds were enough for her thank you very much!

Shell made her way to the new tenant's apartment and rapped on the door and when there was no answer she pounded on the door to be heard over the music. The door was yanked open to show a straggly haired man wearing stained sweats and as she peeked beyond him, she saw the apartment was barely furnished. Yeap, he looked like a nerd and another couch potato!

Ellen Fisher tells a delightful story where a person is stereotyped. Both Cade and Shell have been burned and are leery of relationships, but Cade has to find out what he wants to do in life instead of vegetating with playing video games all day but he is depressed and does not care about his appearance, but he knows that he must move on but he just does not have the energy. The Nerd Prince was a good read, with stimulating sex, flowed at a nice pace.

Review: The Nerd and the Prince by B.G. Thomas

With a family of geeks surrounding me, I know how they think and act. I've been known to roll my eyes a few times and laugh out loud as I recognize my husband and sons in her descriptions. Well, my husband isn't 6 ft tall and quite that built, but the other things are similar! I also love how her heroines are not shy wallflowers, but sexually aware and experienced. The Nerd Prince i I truly enjoy Ms. The Nerd Prince is a funny, and at times, moving story of healing from a bad relationship and taking a chance on a new one. Mar 07, Indah Threez Lestari rated it liked it Shelves: contemporary-romance , in-english.

G Thomas did an interesting mix of these two subgenres and added his own style with our pop culture. This book took me a while to get through. The blurb was really promising when I read it initially, but I really struggled reading this book and had to keep setting it down, and then coming back to it. It was really over the top sweet and a little too cheesy for me, which is to be expected when it comes to some of the Dreamspun Desires books, but it was just too much for me.

I am sure that other people who really like sweet romance books will enjoy this one. I just had a really hard time connecting to this book and the characters on a personal level. I think part of the issue with this book for me was all the super sugary sweet romance talk. Like it all had to be a perfect fairy tale situation for Jason. Even though this is fiction and not a real-life story, it just seemed way too over the top fake.

  • Call me a cynic, but none of the stuff in this book would ever really happen. Timmy was an annoying minor character who needed to just move on and stop denying who he really is. There is very little drama and action in this book, there were a few small twists that were not predictable while leading up to them so that was nice. There always seemed to be something or someone standing in the way of the two guys having any hot moments to themselves, a lot of missed opportunities for them. And the ending was a little odd for my tastes. Jason loves all things mythology related.

He dreams of being swept up in Eagle wings like Ganymede. He runs a bookstore that is part restaurant. He longs for a true romance but knows its hard to come by in his little town in Missouri. Adam is really a prince from a small foreign country. He doesn't want to rule and marry and become king and produce an heir.

He has his brother help him find a place to hide and find himself. His little house needs lots of work and is behind Jason's. I loved this story. I loved both Jason and Adam. I loved the chemistry. Tim was such a big character but suddenly just disappeared I would have liked either more of him or something more conclusive. There is a lot of foreign language in the book though most are explained.

There is also the mythology. Normally I would complain about so many big words and stuff but it all worked in this story. There are some twists and things I didn't see coming. The story is not predictable, it is sweet, charming and hot. Very entertaining! Synopsis sounds light and enjoyable. He and his sister are named after Greek Mythological beings and share a love and some belief in them to this day.

Adam is a runaway prince trying to find true love instead of being forced to marry and produce a legitimate heir for the throne. With the help of his brother, he escapes to America and settles into a tiny house in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, Missouri. Secondary cast was alright. Daphne and Cristiano were enjoyable. The conflicts were minimal. Predictability was fairly low.
