On each page, you have the word third and the piggy is labeled with the corresponding cardinal number 3. Harris to hide numbers on the pages. It turns the book into a fun hide and seek game. She taught Children's Literature, and her son came and taught one day. We got to talk with him about being an illustrator and he told us about this book. I think this is a book that an child who is learning to count should have.

Jill really enjoyed this book. She liked looking for the numbers on each page they were incorporated in the pigs' clothing in different ways and for the wolf he, part of him, or his shadow was on each page. It was an interesting way to introduce the other kind of number. I'm sure it has a title, but I can't remember it. So, this novel had first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. Ordinal numbers?
