I had nothing to say. Nothing to share. I have been on vacation this week since the school district I work for shuts down during the week of the 4th. I have used the week to rest, watch movies, read, and spend with family. When we went to Granbury yesterday for the 4th, I pulled out my camera and shot a few pictures.

Since I went back to work 10 years ago, my housework has suffered. One of my goals this year is to get my house in order, so I have done some digging around the internet and found some great ideas. The first thing I am doing is setting up a Household Notebook. This will be my go-to for everything.
Here is a few things I purchased to get me started. I purchased a large binder, 3-hole punched folders with pockets, sheet protectors, business card pages, tab dividers, and stick on tab labels. I took pictures of a few for you to see. So how do you keep your home organized? What is the best thing you do to keep on top of all your chores?
And this year, I am going to share with you my attempts at taking better pictures…so be amazed. I love the Bokeh effect blurry lights in the background. It happens when your subject is far away from lights and you do a close up on your subject. I will have to experiment a bit more on that. So there you have my first foray into the land of digital photography.
I just want to learn to take great pictures for me.
